Price Book and quote templates

Build your reusable catalog

• Open Price Book and choose Add item. Enter its name, item type, trade, category, unit, selling price, and internal cost details as needed.
• Use the category management control to organize related items. Filters help you find the right trade, category, or item type.
• Edit an item to update its selling price or details. Internal cost information helps your office prepare pricing; it is not a separate customer charge.
• Archive an item you no longer offer. Use the archived view and Restore when it should be offered again.

Prepare and maintain Quote templates

Open Quote templates and create a template for a repeat proposal. Add Price Book lines or custom lines, arrange their order, and save the template. Open an existing template to edit its structure; duplicate, archive, or restore templates through the available actions.

When preparing a Quote, select Price Book items or apply a template, then review quantities, prices, and the final customer-facing lines before saving. Linked template items use current Price Book selling prices when applied. If a linked item was archived, repair the template or select an active replacement before applying it.

Quote templates prepare proposals. Agreements use externally prepared PDFs and their own electronic-signing workflow; a Quote template is not an Agreement template.

Templates vs live catalog

Quote templates store structure and line references. When you apply a template, linked lines use current Price Book selling prices unless you adjust them on the quote.
